In class we learned how to create an animated drum kit using flash. I found this very easy after you understand the steps you must follow. It was a very fun and easy project and I learned how to incorporate sound into the animation. I believe that I can do a little better but I just got the hang of it and I think my next project will be better.
This blog is about what I have learned in my computer class at Curtis High School.

Math Fair Animation
For a couple of weeks now we have worked on our Math Fair Animation project. This project was a pain and it gave me some headaches. It is a little bit more complicated when you are trying to put a lot of items into an animation. The thing that I had more trouble with was the timing of every layer. I didn't want the animation to play too fast but I didn't want the animation to play too slow. I learned that inserting frames would help with the timing and I was able to get the timing I wanted for this animation. Even though it was somewhat hard this project was also very interesting and I was able to learn more things. For example how to do transitions and especially how to do the shape tween. Overall I was able to learn new things and I hope you enjoy this animation.

Flash Animated Face
For this weeks assignment we worked in flash to create a changing face. This was actually easier then I thought it would be. What made it easy was using the tool called onion skin which let us see where we left in the frame before. I thought that it would be hard to change the face expression but it really wasn't. I also liked how easy it was using the brush tool to change the face around it was easier then it looked. I really had fun doing this project. Hope you like it !

My First Moving StickFigure
This was actually fun to do. Just moving it around and making it look the same was the hard part and that is why I changed their body and how it looks. For the most part if was fun and easy. And I learned how to add frames just like it in pivot. I also learned we have this tool called onion skin that lets us see where we left off. We keep learning new things on Flash!

Moving Objects in Flash
This project was pretty easy to do. The steps were very simple to follow which made the work a lot less harder. Everything that I did in this project was basically new to me so I learned many different things. For example, I learned how to create a tween on the time line and how I am able to move around the shape. I also learned how the timeline works and how easy it makes it to insert frames. It was pretty fun to do this project.

Flash Drawing Tools
This week in class we learned how to use Adobe Flash. It was fairly easy because it resembles Adobe Photoshop, in a way. Some of the tools I already had some experience with. I actually didn't know that you can break down the words so that is something new that I learned. Overall it was an easy assignment and it just takes time to get used to the tools.

Windows Movie Maker
This week we worked on turning our pivot free runner into a movie. It was a fairly easy assignment honestly, I thought that it would take more work but it was very easy. Adding music to the movie was an easy thing too but finding good songs to go with it was more tricky. I enjoyed the project and I would like to do more later on. I have more to figure out, like how to add sound effects but for now I hope you enjoy my movie.
Thanks for watching !!

Pivot Free Runner
For a couple of weeks now we have been working on our Free Runner using pivot. At first I actually thought that it was going to be easy, very easy. Unfortunately, that was not the case and I found this assignment a little bit more harder then I thought. I did like working on pivot, it is very self explanatory and it was fun working on it. The only thing I did have problem with was making my stick figure look real and not having it look so stiff. I won't lie I still don't get the hang of making it look realistic, I guess I will have to practice more with it and find a way to make my pivots looks better. Over all it was a fun and challenging project. I can say I can improve my work but that will take time especially since I still have to get used to it. Hopefully you enjoy my first pivot project.

Marketing Yourself on the Web
During these weeks we have been learning on how to market ourselves on the web. We learned ways to make people follow our web pages and how to get feedback. I learned how to make a QR which was pretty easy and I used to think it was a hard thing to do. We also advertised in our forms like on Facebook and Twitter. Advertising yourself and the things that you have created is important because it lets people see what you have to offer and it also differentiates you from others. It helps especially when you are looking for a job online. People can search you up and see what you can bring to the company and it makes you stand out in a way other people don't. That is what I have learned during this week in class.

Photoshop !
Throughout the week we have been working in Photoshop. Although this was not new to me, due to the fact that I had taken a Photoshop class before; it was nice to explore photoshop further. It is important to know Photoshop because you never know when it can come in handy. You can use it if you have a webpage and you want to add things up or you can create a poster. It is basically a fun thing to use as well! You can create and edit practically anything in photoshop. I enjoyed it very much and it was nice to go back. I know there is still more to explore but that well happen later on. I really love the brush tool and all the imaged you can create like the grass or even leafs. The only thing that I did have a hard time with was with the magnetic lasso tool! That was a big pain and it did get me frustrated it but at the en I did get the hang of it. I can't wait to learn more in Photoshop.

What I've Learned About Blogs
Throughout the course of last week we looked into what a blog is. During that week I learned different things of what a blog really is. Just because it has pictures and paragraphs does not mean it is a blog. Some of the things that I learned is that when you have a blog you must be dedicated to it. You can't make a blog on cooking and you post something about sports. It is better if you stick to one topic on your blog. You have people that will follow your blog and they expect posts and pictures about the topic they are following. I have learned that blogs are very helpful. A blog can help to spread awareness on a certain topic or it can also help businesses and they can advertise on a blog. You can share new things with other people and you can benefit from what other people share with you. It is fun to have a blog and it is also fun to follow one. You can learned new and exciting things from other people!
